We are recruiting a skilled Material Handler for our logistics facility in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from designated areas, and operating various types of material handling equipment. This position is key to maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our distribution center, ensuring that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a keen sense of responsibility, and a commitment to safety. You will be working in a dynamic warehouse environment, requiring physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Key responsibilities involve managing inventory, assisting with shipping and receiving, and ensuring that all materials are handled with care. Frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds is expected, and rigorous adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging for shipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities as directed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team.
