In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and efficiently packing them for shipment. Your precision and speed are essential to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the high standards of our distribution operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail to minimize errors and a good understanding of inventory management systems. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure a seamless order fulfillment process. Key responsibilities include using handheld scanners to locate and retrieve products, verifying order accuracy, and preparing items for transit. Proper packing techniques are vital to protect goods during shipping. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is crucial. You must be comfortable with frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, including the consistent use of required PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and assemble customer orders using order sheets or scanners.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into boxes or containers for shipment.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Operate packing equipment, such as tape guns and labeling machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
