Join our fast-paced logistics center in Durham, North Carolina, as an Order Picker! In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking products for customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed will directly impact customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of operations. You will utilize scanning devices and follow picking instructions to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves, ensuring correct quantities and product codes. This position requires physical stamina, focus, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive picking lists or scan orders using RF scanners or other devices.
- Locate and retrieve items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Package picked items appropriately for shipment.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Meet daily picking quotas and performance targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and product labels.
- Must be capable of sustained physical activity, including frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Adherence to all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE is mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
