We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our logistics operations in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specified items from our warehouse inventory. This position demands a keen eye for detail, speed, and a commitment to upholding safety standards within a busy warehouse environment. You will contribute directly to customer satisfaction by ensuring order accuracy and prompt processing. This is a hands-on role in the heart of our distribution efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and pick specified items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanners.
- Ensure the correct quantity and type of item is picked for each order.
- Use RF scanning devices to record picked items and update inventory levels.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas for quality control and dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets.
Qualifications:
Previous order picking or warehouse experience is a plus but not required for enthusiastic candidates. Must be capable of performing frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions are important.
