We are looking for experienced and certified individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of forklift operations, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and unstack pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for operation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any hazards or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Commitment to adhering to all PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
