Our logistics operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of goods. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying order details, packaging products securely, and coordinating with carriers. This role is critical to our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders in perfect condition and on schedule. You will utilize our shipping software to generate labels, manifest shipments, and track outgoing packages. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses excellent attention to detail, and can thrive in a busy warehouse setting. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements is a plus. We place a high emphasis on safety in our workplace. All employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all established safety procedures, including safe lifting techniques, to maintain a secure working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify shipping orders against product and destination information.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation using shipping software.
- Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pickups.
- Ensure all shipments are properly secured and labeled.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Assist with inventory tasks and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, ShipStation) is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Understanding of safe lifting techniques.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
