Job Summary:
Join our team in Tampa, Florida, as an Inventory Control Specialist and be at the forefront of managing our warehouse's critical inventory data. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using inventory management software and possess a solid understanding of best practices in inventory control. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to reconcile inventory records and identify root causes of discrepancies. This role demands a commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all established safety procedures. We emphasize safe lifting techniques and material handling to prevent injuries. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper stock movement.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock rotation and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper PPE usage and safe lifting practices.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
  • Proficiency in WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
