Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma distribution center as a Forklift Operator. You will be responsible for moving, loading, unloading, and stacking materials throughout the warehouse. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring timely movement of goods and maintaining order within our facility. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and all team members are required to utilize appropriate PPE. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 60 pounds, and requires the ability to operate various types of forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and inventory control staff to manage the flow of products and ensure accurate stock placement. Responsibilities include conducting daily equipment inspections, transporting raw materials, staging finished goods, and assisting with shipping and receiving duties. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will contribute directly to the smooth functioning of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, lift, and place materials.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after shifts.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to safety and experience with PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
