Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Operate powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment as needed (certification may be required).
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details.
- Proficient in basic math skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, and perform repetitive bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Capability of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to follow all guidelines.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the use of PPE.
