We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. This position is vital for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in operating various types of forklifts, possess a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and maintain a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and ensuring the safe stacking and organization of goods. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials and merchandise.
- Move, stack, and organize inventory in designated warehouse areas.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures for forklift operation.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory locations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking and packing.
- Ensure that the work area is kept clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE , such as hard hats and steel-toed boots.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management is essential.
