Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our Nashville, Tennessee warehouse. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, which is crucial for efficient logistics and operational planning. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and managing stock rotation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) is mandatory. While this role is more analytical, it may involve some moderate Lifting and movement of inventory items during audits and investigations. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and maintain optimal stock levels. Join our dedicated team and contribute to the success of our distribution operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO, FEFO) to minimize obsolescence.
  • Monitor inventory levels and provide reports to management.
  • Ensure the accurate recording of all inventory movements within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage area.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards and promote a culture of safety .
  • Ensure the correct use of PPE by all personnel involved in inventory handling.
  • Assist with tasks that may require occasional moderate Lifting .
  • Support the overall efficiency of our logistics network.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
  • Commitment to workplace safety and experience with relevant PPE .
  • Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting and physical tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
