Join our team as a Warehouse Technician in Omaha, Nebraska, where you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facility. This position requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining warehouse equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Your responsibilities will include routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and prompt repairs of machinery, conveyor systems, forklifts, and other warehouse assets. A strong emphasis will be placed on adherence to all safety regulations and the correct utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE ). This role is vital for ensuring the seamless flow of goods within our logistics network. The job involves moderate Lifting and requires an individual with mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail. We are looking for someone who can identify potential issues before they become major problems, contributing to a safer and more productive work environment. You will be an essential part of our team, ensuring our equipment operates reliably, supporting our distribution efforts. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor belts, and automated systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential mechanical issues and implement preventive maintenance plans.
- Ensure all machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure the proper use and availability of required PPE .
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to minimize disruptions during maintenance work.
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues related to equipment.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and maneuvering of equipment parts.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical repair preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and their functions.
- Commitment to workplace safety and experience with relevant PPE .
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting and physical dexterity.
- Understanding of logistics operations is a plus.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
