Seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is critical to ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company and carrier standards. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, packing orders securely, verifying shipping information, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. A strong understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, and logistics is essential. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, and all employees are expected to follow safety protocols diligently and use appropriate PPE. The role may involve some lifting and physical activity. Your accuracy and dedication are key to our customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and affix shipping labels to outgoing packages.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Verify shipping addresses and order details for accuracy.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for package pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain shipping logs and documentation.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
- Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
