We are seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas. This role is critical for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly packaged, and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and other required documentation.
- Verify accuracy of orders before packaging and shipment.
- Package items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and tape machines.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Support inventory management and other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order verification.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Must be committed to workplace safety and consistently wear PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
