We have an exciting opening for an Inventory Control Specialist in the vibrant New York City, New York area. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and implementing strategies to minimize stock loss. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving inventory issues, contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to maintain optimal inventory levels. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is paramount. Compliance with all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. While not primarily a physically demanding role, some Lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies accurately and promptly.
- Manage inventory adjustments and maintain system integrity.
- Develop and implement strategies for inventory accuracy improvement.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse teams to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
- Monitor receiving and shipping processes to ensure data accuracy.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform tasks involving some physical exertion, including occasional Lifting.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE usage.
