We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. As an Order Picker, you will be at the forefront of our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are picked accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include navigating the warehouse using pick tickets, locating products, and retrieving them with speed and precision. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent attention to detail, and can maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical for ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our valued customers. We are deeply committed to safety, and all associates must rigorously follow all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires consistent physical activity, including lifting and moving items, so candidates should be in good physical condition. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders according to pick lists and system prompts.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify picked items against order requirements for accuracy.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for quality control and packing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate handheld scanners and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform tasks that involve regular lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and speed of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and pick tickets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and meet picking quotas.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear PPE.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and warehouse workflows is beneficial.
