We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team in San Jose, California. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory systems are up-to-date. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to best practices in inventory management. You will work closely with various departments, including operations, receiving, and shipping, to ensure seamless inventory flow and minimize stockouts or overstock situations. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Your role will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through accurate stock levels.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure timely and accurate stock movements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Train new staff on inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all **PPE** requirements and **Safety** protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in **Logistics** or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with **Safety** regulations and the use of **PPE**.
