As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will create innovative architectural patterns that empower customers to build applications optimized for high-volume, fast-paced data flows across diverse environments. Your designs will ensure compliance with data sovereignty and residency regulations, safeguarding critical data within specific geographic limits. As a key member of our product development team, you will engage deeply with customer needs and market trends, transforming them into precise specifications that guide the system's design and architecture. You will lead a talented team of developers in delivering cutting-edge services while actively contributing to the advancement of Oracle's premier database products. This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in the development of pioneering features for Oracle's flagship Database. We are seeking an individual with considerable experience in cloud architecture, particularly with cloud platform products and services. Responsibilities Design cloud-native service architectures utilizing Hyperscale Distributed Databases. Translate market insights and customer needs into features, including constructs, APIs, KPIs, and essential UI components. Shape control plane architecture to support critical functionalities like availability, scalability, security, and compliance. Create detailed technical specifications and develop prototypes for implementation guidance. Lead the product development team in applying architectural designs effectively. Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and other teams to ensure continual service enhancements. Participate in key customer engagements and market initiatives. Define and analyze customer experience metrics to inform stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential risks that may affect project delivery timelines. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. 10+ years of experience in large-scale cloud deployments. Familiarity with various cloud service providers, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Experience with Massively Distributed Parallel Processing systems. Strong understanding of the data platform ecosystem and competitive trends. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Capabilities in strategic and tactical thinking in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Internet-scale applications. 10+ years of hands-on product development experience related to customer-facing data solutions. Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases. Experience with Big Data platforms that handle structured and unstructured data. Background in designing and launching cloud-based products. Compensation Information: US: Hiring Range in USD from: $136,600 to $338,500 per annum, with potential for bonuses, equity, and deferred compensation included.
