Your Role As a Computer Vision Intern/Co-op, you'll play a hands-on role in developing and refining our computer vision systems. You'll work on real-world challenges like camera calibration, AI-based object recognition, video streaming, or image processing. Your work will contribute directly to building safer, smarter, and more flexible robotics systems, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills to impactful, innovative projects.
What You'll Do As a Computer Vision Intern/Co-op, you'll gain hands-on experience working on challenging projects that push the boundaries of AI, computer vision, and robotics. Your responsibilities may include: Developing tools and workflows for
camera calibration
to improve accuracy and usability. Prototyping and testing
AI-based models for human/object recognition,
pose estimation, and tracking. Designing and implementing
image processing pipelines
for filtering, segmentation, and feature extraction. Building and optimizing
real-time video streaming
systems for low-latency performance. Contributing to
AI/ML pipeline development , including model training, testing, and optimization. Annotating datasets and creating tools for
automated data preparation and augmentation . Profiling and optimizing algorithms for
edge deployment
or GPU acceleration using libraries like
OpenCV ,
PyTorch , and
TensorFlow . Creating visualization tools for debugging and monitoring model performance. Documenting findings, workflows, and presenting progress to the team. What We're Looking For
We're seeking
3rd-4th year undergraduate students
or
Master's students
in
Computer Science ,
Electrical/Computer Engineering , or related fields who are passionate about computer vision, AI, and robotics. Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in
Python
or
C++
for computer vision or image processing. Familiarity with computer vision frameworks such as
OpenCV ,
PyTorch , or
TensorFlow . Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. Knowledge of key concepts like image segmentation, feature detection, object recognition, and machine learning. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with
camera calibration , video streaming, or sensor integration. Familiarity with neural network architectures (e.g., YOLO, OpenPose, CNNs). Understanding of GPU acceleration (e.g., CUDA) or embedded systems. Experience with version control tools like
Git . Previous experience in annotating datasets or working on AI/ML pipelines.
