The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. This role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and providing effective solutions to ensure smooth IT operations. Proficiency in Windows and/or Mac OS environments, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking principles. Provide Technical Support: Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by end-users through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person support. Troubleshoot Hardware and Software: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware (computers, printers, mobile devices) and software (operating systems, applications) issues to restore functionality. Install and Configure Systems: Set up new computers, install necessary software, configure settings, and ensure system compatibility with organizational standards. Manage User Accounts: Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access management within network and application systems.Maintain Inventory: Track IT assets, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals; manage hardware inventory and document asset assignments. Collaborate with IT Team: Work closely with network administrators, systems engineers, and other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
