This role will involve partnering with key stakeholders to ensure proper design and architectural patterns are deployed to ensure high-availability, failover, and scaling. Demonstrate best practices throughout the software development lifecycle with a focus on design, build, code review, and testing for application resilience. Role
The Role Responsibilities: Leads the design, development and implementation of complex data management and storage applications, often using new technologies. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems. Ability to translate business strategy into achievable tactics. A senior member of the technical team responsible for assisting senior business leaders and management. May provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Leads or has responsibility for estimation of effort for software applications for one or more programmers. Coordinates collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget. Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues critical to achieving business objectives. Requirements: Advanced knowledge of Python (preferred), Java or C/C++. Creative, quick-thinking and an aptitude for solving problems with technology. Experience using design and architectural patterns. Design and development experience in modern technologies such as API management, REST/API integration, containers, microservices. Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databases. Experience in Web UI (Angular, Spring) and CI/CD tools. Ability to work both independently and within a high-functioning team environment. Experience of working on Quartz and remote risk is a plus. Understanding of various financial instruments (interest rate swaps, FX swaps, and bonds) is preferred but not required. We offer
