We have an exciting opening for an Order Picker at our logistics hub in Richmond, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders by accurately locating and retrieving products from our warehouse shelves. This position requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to accuracy. You will use scanning technology to track inventory and ensure that the correct items and quantities are picked. This role is physically demanding and requires you to be on your feet for extended periods, handle lifting, and navigate the warehouse space effectively. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products for customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Retrieve items from designated warehouse locations, including shelves and racks.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or picking errors to a supervisor.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy targets.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and scanning devices.
- Ability to read and interpret picking instructions and product labels accurately.
- Must be able to perform consistent physical work, including frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long durations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and mandatory use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent is desired.
