We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy warehouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial to our logistics and material handling operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and transport products to staging or production lines. The ideal candidate is a certified forklift operator with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to Safety. You must be able to perform pre-operation checks on equipment, maintain operational logs, and adhere to all traffic and safety regulations within the warehouse. This role involves significant Forklift operation, occasional manual material handling, and requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting. We provide all necessary PPE and emphasize a culture of safety through continuous training and strict adherence to procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate logs of operational activities and inventory movements.
- Adhere to all traffic control and Safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Wear required PPE at all times and follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, supporting logistics operations.
- Participate in inventory management and cycle counting as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
