We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to work as Picker/Packers in our growing Austin, Texas facility. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and then carefully packing them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy are key to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations. You will work with pick lists or scanners to locate products, ensure correct quantities are gathered, and then prepare them for transit, often involving boxing, labeling, and securing packages. Safety is a top priority; adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices, is mandatory. This role involves significant standing, walking, and lifting throughout your shift. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or scanner data.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment tasks as needed.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order information accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Comfortable with regular lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with basic logistics is a plus.
