We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Houston, Texas distribution center. As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations by conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our stock. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to record-keeping. You will be instrumental in optimizing warehouse efficiency and supporting our supply chain management efforts. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all protocols is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Generate inventory reports and provide data to management.
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory for accuracy and damage.
- Organize and maintain stockroom organization.
- Assist with stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving items.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards.
