We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety are paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack materials in designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock checks.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent safety record and awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading skills.
