We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to pick specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or handheld scanners, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected for shipment. This is a key position within our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic environment, navigating aisles and operating equipment safely. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and adherence to all warehouse procedures, including the use of required PPE, is mandatory. This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods, as well as the capacity for frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and possesses excellent spatial awareness. You will collaborate closely with packers and other warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked, processed, and staged for shipment accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify product codes and quantities before placing items in designated order containers.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
