We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of our distribution operations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and adherence to all company policies. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and other team members to coordinate material handling activities and optimize workflow. Responsibilities include pre-operation inspections of forklifts, transporting raw materials and finished goods, stacking and organizing inventory, and assisting with shipping and receiving duties as needed. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our supply chain operates seamlessly, contributing to timely deliveries and client satisfaction. We emphasize a culture of safety, and all employees are expected to wear appropriate PPE at all times. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of equipment.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must wear required PPE.
