Take on a crucial role in our logistics network as an Order Picker in Washington, D.C.! We are looking for precise and efficient individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders within our dynamic warehouse. As an Order Picker, your main responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected for each order. Your accuracy is key to our customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our supply chain. You will utilize handheld scanners and follow pick lists to navigate the warehouse and confirm selections. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all team members must adhere to strict safety guidelines and wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves consistent movement throughout the warehouse and requires the ability to handle tasks involving regular Lifting of products. The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning equipment and pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelving.
- Verify item identification and quantity before order completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Meet individual and team performance goals for picking speed and accuracy.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good stamina and ability to be on your feet for long periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
