We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our vital logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is essential for the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse, involving the movement, loading, unloading, and stacking of goods. You will operate various types of forklifts, ensuring that materials are handled with care and precision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures, and the physical capability for tasks including regular Lifting. Your expertise is critical to maintaining our supply chain integrity and operational flow.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory and materials.
- Load and unload freight from delivery vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse, including racking systems.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, especially around operational zones.
- Assist with other warehouse duties such as order picking or stocking when needed.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistical operations.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors and team leads.
- Ensure proper handling of all goods to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and general logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to completing tasks efficiently.
- Must be committed to wearing all necessary PPE.
- Good communication skills.
