We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth movement of goods, supporting picking and packing operations, and maintaining a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes physically demanding setting. Your expertise in forklift operation is crucial to our logistics chain and overall operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Stack and retrieve products from warehouse racking systems.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with order picking and put-away processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around operational zones.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Follow all instructions provided by supervisors and team leads.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting and prolonged standing.
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety procedures and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Good communication skills.
