Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move pallets, merchandise, and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Stack and retrieve items from storage racks.
- Perform daily inspections of the forklift, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Coordinate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics.
- Properly document all movements and tasks performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
