The Director of Systems Technology is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of Information Technology at BRC. This role provides strategic direction, operational leadership, and hands-on expertise to ensure BRC's technology infrastructure, systems, and security capabilities effectively support current operations and future growth.
As a senior leader, you will define and execute the IT systems roadmap, oversee enterprise platforms and infrastructure, manage cybersecurity and data protection, and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of BRC's technology environment. You will work closely with business leaders, technical teams, and external partners to identify, deploy, and optimize technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Requirements
Strategy & Systems Leadership- Develop and execute BRC's IT systems roadmap aligned with corporate strategy and long-term business objectives
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to improve efficiency, scalability, and innovation
- Future-proof systems, infrastructure, and networks to support organizational growth
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to leadership and business stakeholders
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise systems, including ERP/CRM platforms, cloud environments, on-premise servers, and network infrastructure
- Ensure high availability, performance, integrity, and reliability of core business applications
- Lead system integrations across business units to improve data flow and process efficiency
- Monitor system performance and capacity, implementing upgrades and enhancements as required
- Maintain robust cybersecurity frameworks, including identity management, access control, incident response, and data protection policies
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure secure storage of confidential data and compliance with security best practices
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Ensure stability and reliability of day-to-day IT operations, including monitoring, incident resolution, and preventive maintenance
- Specify, procure, and maintain IT infrastructure, hardware, peripherals, and software
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, licensing, and third-party negotiations
- Maintain asset inventories, warranties, documentation, and lifecycle tracking
- Lead IT projects across their full lifecycle, including planning, resourcing, scheduling, documentation, and budget management
- Produce regular status reports, escalations, and performance updates
- Establish and maintain departmental KPIs to measure performance and service delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, tools, and workflows
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support to end users as required
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex system and infrastructure issues
- Maintain system documentation, standards, and operating procedures
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT management or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, infrastructure design, and server architectures
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, SMTP, IMAP, etc.)
- Experience with Windows Server environments and *Nix-based systems (Linux, macOS)
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, firewalls, DMZ, identity management, and access control
- Experience with database platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL) and enterprise software administration
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions

Working Conditions
- Hybrid work model; periodic onsite work at company locations (BRC, Tayco, Woodlore) may be required
- Shift Schedule: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday including availability to support on Weekends if required.
- Hiring Pay Rate: $100,000.00 to $125,000.00 Annually.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
- Regular use of desktop computers and peripherals
- Overtime as required
