OrthoNC is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist with advanced experience in shoulder evaluation and rehabilitation to join our outpatient Therapy clinic. This is a unique opportunity to thrive in a high-volume, collaborative environment. Our clinic fosters a collaborative environment where therapists work closely with PTAs, Athletic Trainers, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
*What You’ll Do*
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for shoulder-related conditions, including post-operative and non-operative cases
* Treat a wide range of shoulder pathologies such as rotator cuff injuries, labral tears, instability, impingement, adhesive capsulitis, and post-surgical repairs
* Provide evidence=based manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education
* Monitor patient progress, modify treatment as needed, and document care using Athena EMR.
* Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, home exercises, and post-op care
* Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, ATs, and staff to ensure coordinated care
* Participate in staff meetings, clinical education, and quality improvement efforts
* Foster a positive, professional clinic environment with a focus on patient outcomes
* Serve as a clinical resource or mentor to other therapists as appropriate
*What We’re Looking For (Requirements)*
* Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
* Licensed Physical Therapist in North Carolina
* Minimum of 5 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience
* Demonstrated expertise in shoulder evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation
* Advanced manual therapy and exercise prescription skills specific to the shoulder complex
* Strong clinical skills in orthopedic outpatient care and manual therapy
* Ability to manage complex and high-level cases independently
* Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
* Quick-thinking, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently
* Passionate about teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care
* Comfortable taking initiative, delegating tasks, and adapting to fast-paced settings
* A genuine interest in working with shoulder-related conditions
* Patient-centered approach with a focus on outcomes and quality of care
* High level of professionalism, accountability, and time management
*Preferences (Not Required)*
* Experience treating post-operative shoulder cases strongly preferred
* Orthopedic or sports-related certifications (OCS, SCS, COMT, etc.)
* Experience working with overhead athletes or high-demand populations
