About Us

Lighthouse Dental is a small yet growing dental office in Vancouver, WA. With our growth, we want you to grow with us We are a family-owned practice filled with culture and care. We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic addition to our clinical team who is outgoing, hardworking, and passionate about helping others.

We are seeking a Registered Dental Assistant who not only enjoys interacting with patients, supporting doctors, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment, but who also has the drive to take on additional leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Chairside assisting during dental procedure
  • Set up and turn over treatment rooms for procedures following OSHA regulations
  • Keep dental units ready, stocked, and clean
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide pre-op and post-op instructions
  • Anticipate and assist dentist's needs
  • Perform clinical dental procedures, expanded functions, and other tasks as directed
  • Take digital x-rays as needed
  • Ensure proper treatment notes are recorded in patient charts
  • Schedule appointments when needed
  • Communicate effectively with doctors, other assistants, and front desk staff
  • Manage lab cases and follow-up
  • Perform equipment maintenance and manage inventory
  • Cross-trained to help at the front desk as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active RDA license
  • Current CPR Provider (BLS) Certificate
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, flexible, and professional
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computers; Dentrix experience preferred
  • Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

  • Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)
  • Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
