RESPONSIBILITIES:

NP/PA will interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis.

NP/PA will prescribe medicine, and order diagnostic tests and will consult with physician as needed.NP/PA will suggest lifestyle changes to remedy medical problems.

NP/PA will maintain patient records and provide proper and accurate documentation for insurance companies.

NP/PA's tasks may include supervision of staff, review of medical records, UR/QA, review of treatment plans, counseling clients, participating in case conference, monitoring/prescribing drug therapy when needed.

NP/PA agrees that she will, at all times, faithfully, industriously, and to the best of her ability, experience and talent, perform all of the duties that may be required of and from /her pursuant to the express and implicit terms hereof, to the reasonable satisfaction of the agency.

NP/PA agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the agency, or it's duly constituted agent. Said medical staff is knowledgeable and will follow clinical OASAS 820 regulations and administrative procedures and will be furnish a copy of regulations upon request and will also furnish reports and records that may be required of said position, to include the Provision of Tele practice services in compliance with OASAS Part 830.

Education: Graduate school/master's degree from an accredited educational program, is required. Two years of full-time postgraduate study is required. Ability to obtain supervised clinical training in different practice areas, including family medicine, etc. NP/PA must be licensed in NYS and must be able and willing to attend continuing education to maintain certification of 100 hours of continuing education every two years and ability to perform recertification exam (required every 10 years).

Skills & Competencies: Patient and care team communications: Clearly communicate and be compassionate with patients and their colleagues within often stressful medical treatment settings. Strong analytical talents are important to ensure accurate patient diagnoses and the implementation of responsive care plans. Solid interpersonal skills and be able to display a good bedside manner when working with (sick) individuals. The NP/PA must be technically savvy so as to use electronic medical record systems.

At times, certain situations may arise that extend beyond the limits of your job description. You will be expected to deal with these situations promptly, efficiently, and within the guidelines of the appropriate policy.

Valid NYS driver's license and method of transportation required. Must be free of active addiction, including tobacco. Pre-employment background check/post offer drug screening required. CARF and NHSC accredited. EOE
