Job Summary
Bottcher America, A leading roller manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating manual lathes to produce rubber rollers. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and precision.

Responsibilities Manual Lathe Operator

• Set up and operate manual lathes to machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Select appropriate tooling, materials, and speeds/feeds for each job.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Report any mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lathe Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with other manual machines (e.g., milling machines, drill presses)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with tooling, assembly line operations, and basic math skills for measurements.
• Ability to read technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
