With strong funding, long runway, and rapid adoption, they're entering a critical engineering growth phase and expanding their backend team.

Software Engineer (Backend / Platform)

Compensation:

Python (Django), JavaScript, AWS (ECS), Terraform / IaC, PostgreSQL

YOE:
3–5 years backend engineering experience

About the role

• Build and scale backend infrastructure powering AI-driven features
• Design and maintain APIs supporting web and mobile applications
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and observability
• Improve automation and testing to accelerate developer velocity
• Collaborate closely with product, data, and clinical teams
• Spend ~25% time across frontend and infrastructure as needed
• Grow into a leadership role in a high-impact, mission-driven environment

Requirements

• Strong backend experience with Python (Django preferred)
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar)
• Comfort working across backend, infra, and light frontend work
• Startup or growth-stage experience preferred
• Strong communicator focused on business impact, not just code
• Genuine alignment with the mission and long-term commitment
