Sprinkler Fitter or Apprentice

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sprinkler Fitter or Apprentice to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems across various construction and manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in plumbing, pipe fitting, and welding, with a keen eye for detail and safety. Whether you are an experienced fitter or an eager apprentice, this position offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment focused on safety and precision.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler systems according to blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques (MIG, FCAW, TIG) to assemble piping systems
• Perform pipe bending, tube bending, soldering, and caliper measurements to ensure proper fit and function
• Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy components safely on-site
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols at all times during construction or maintenance activities
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure operational integrity
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to complete projects efficiently

Skills

• Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, ASME codes & standards, and technical drawings accurately
• Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, assembly, rigging, and maintenance procedures
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, and tube bending tools
• Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installation processes
• Construction site experience with safety awareness and adherence to industry standards
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments or construction projects involving plumbing or piping systems
