Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Engineer based in Greensboro, NC or Charlotte, NC. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for conducting structural analyses, performing calculations, and providing designs for various projects. Day-to-day tasks include designing building components, preparing CAD drawings, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards. The role will also involve reviewing designs for accuracy, quality, and safety considerations.

Qualifications:​

  • Bachelor's degree (BSCE) or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years (minimum) of relevant experience in low and mid-rise building design.
  • Professional engineering licensure in North Carolina (or via reciprocity). A S.E. license is preferred.
  • Work individually or in a team under the guidance of a supervisor in an office environment.
  • Collaborate with other structural designers to produce contract documents and specifications.
  • Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design calculations based on client needs, sketches, and/or architectural drawings.
  • Coordinate structural designs with multiple discipline-specific project team members.
  • Capable of delivering quality design services within a managed schedule.
  • Effective communication and independent decision making.
  • Conduct quality assurance of completed work product.
  • Attend meetings with clients and design partners during all phases of the work.
  • Review contractor submittals and resolve construction issues.
  • Occasionally perform field measuring and inspections.

Pay: $100, $150,000.00 per year
