Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience)

About the Role

The Production Manager oversees all residential production operations across Renovations Group Inc. (RGI) , J&J Contractors, and J&J Custom Homes, leading interior remodeling, exterior remodeling, and custom home production teams.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of 10–15 Project Managers, field staff, service, and repair teams, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to J&J's standards for craftsmanship, safety, and client satisfaction.

The Production Manager serves as the operational bridge between Sales, Design, Drafting, and Production, providing hands-on field leadership, proactive problem-solving, and consistent enforcement of processes and accountability across all divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee 10–15 Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, along with field staff, service, and repair teams across RGI, J&J Contractors, and J&J Custom Homes.
• Oversee daily production operations for interior remodeling, exterior remodeling, and custom home projects.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to review progress, quality, cleanliness, safety, and schedule adherence.
• Enforce accountability, expectations, and consistency across all production teams.
• Lead production meetings, PM meetings, and team huddles to align priorities and resolve issues.
• Identify and resolve drafting, design, and production challenges before they impact job flow or client experience.
• Read, interpret, and validate construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work for accuracy and constructability.
• Support Project Managers with complex client situations and manage project escalations as needed.
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, and schedules to maintain efficient and predictable production flow.
• Conduct performance reviews, mentor PMs, and develop leadership depth within the production team.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Drafting, Sales, and Operations to ensure smooth handoffs and alignment.
• Track and analyze production metrics related to efficiency, scheduling, quality, and profitability.
• Help refine, document, and enforce company production processes and quality standards across all divisions.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of verifiable residential remodeling and rough framing experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role (Production Manager, Senior Project Manager, or equivalent).
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and clarify architectural plans and scopes of work.
• Proven success managing multiple teams and high project volumes while enforcing accountability.
• Deep understanding of residential construction sequencing, workflows, and client communication.
• Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction project management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Greendale, WI (typically within 30 minutes) to support time-sensitive jobsite and team needs.
