The Commercial Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all Commercial PV projects move smoothly from intake to completion. This role will be the primary contact for customers post-sale, so the Commercial Project Manager and their team members will play an important role in providing excellent customer service. The CPM will play a crucial role in communicating relevant timelines, technical, and process-oriented information to our sales team and installation teams. This is a key leadership role in the Company and those interested in this position should take pride in their work, have great organizational and project management skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and have an interest in growing into larger roles within our organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement processes and technological solutions to ensure seamless project management and execution of projects post-sale.
- Responsible for project running smoothly from sales team handoff through handoff to operations team, including engineering, permitting, and preparing for mobilization, plus support to operations team after handoff.
- Manage up to 30 commercial solar projects per year, including new construction, retrofit rooftop, carport, and battery systems.
- Navigate various project management software such as Procore, BIM 360, Con Docs, etc.
- Create RFIs and submittals.
- Lead Pre-engineering meeting, following each site survey in conjunction with the Commercial Sales Representative assigned to ensure key design decisions are made prior to contracting.
- Manage team members and 3rd Party Partners for Engineering and Design.
- Evaluate and select subcontractors for design, engineering, and construction.
- Review and confirm engineering method from 3 party design partners meets TENCO standards and contract criteria.
- Create Bill of Material and ensure flawless handoff for purchasing and project coordination.
- Lead Commercial Design review meetings with both internal staff and customer prior to submission to AHJ.
- Proactively communicate with customers (and stakeholders) so they are updated as to the status and next steps required to complete each project.
- Coordinate any required corrections.
- Obtain RFQs and negotiate scopes of work with subcontractors and vendors.
- Responsible for ensuring projects receive AHJ approval and permit issuance.
- Maintain project budgets and execute projects on time and budget.
- Ensure smooth hand off to the construction team once permits are received and supports operations team until project completion or PTO.
- Commercial Billing – Ensure timely communication with CFO about project milestone completion so invoices are generated in a timely and accurate manner per the contract.
Location: Riverside, CA (some flexibility with approval from manager)
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday (some flexibility with approval from manager)

Pay: $100, $120,000.00 per year
