Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Closer to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children at the end of the day. This role involves supervising children, maintaining classroom routines, and preparing the space for the next day's activities. The Preschool Closer plays a vital role in supporting children's development and ensuring a smooth transition at the close of each day.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children during the closing hours of the preschool, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with daily activities such as toddler care, infant care, and classroom routines aligned with childhood development principles.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid procedures if necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children's needs and daily progress.
- Clean and organize classroom materials and ensure the environment is safe and welcoming for children.
- Support early childhood education by facilitating age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social skills.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, or other caregiving duties as needed for young children.
Skills
- Experience with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying.
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and foster a positive classroom environment.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification promptly.
- Compassionate caregiver with experience working with children with disabilities or special needs preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage with parents.
- Classroom experience and familiarity with caregiving routines for toddlers and infants are highly desirable. Pay: From $13.00 per hour
