Field Engineer – Artly Robotic Barista

As we expand, we're looking for a hands-on Technician to help bring our robots to life across the country.

Position Overview

We're seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Engineer to join our Seattle-based team. This role focuses on building, testing, maintaining and installing our robotic baristas at retail locations and events. Ideal candidates are comfortable working with hardware, electronics, and software integration—and love problem-solving on the go.

Key Responsibilities

· Assemble robotic barista units and related components in our Seattle facility

· Perform electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and system testing

· Install and calibrate units at customer sites nationwide, including conventions & events.

· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues during installs or service calls

· Strong communication and can collaborate with engineers, operations, and product teams for deployment readiness

· Maintain documentation for installs, repairs, and technical improvements

· Provide on-site training and technical support as needed

Qualifications

· Proven hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical assembly

· Strong technical problem-solving skills

· Comfortable using hand and power tools, multimeters, diagnostic software

· Willingness to travel frequently (20%-40%) across the U.S.

· Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Familiarity with robotics, automation, or food service equipment is a plus

· College Degree in related field

Preferred

· 2+ years in a field engineer, mechatronics, or related role

· Experience with robotic arms or embedded systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
