Our program emphasizes outdoor learning, hands-on discovery, and developmentally appropriate challenges that help children build essential life skills such as empathy, perseverance, accountability, and confidence.

We are seeking an Associate Preschool Teacher who enjoys active learning, feels comfortable outdoors in all seasons, and wants to support young children as they grow into capable and compassionate individuals.

Role Overview

The Associate Preschool Teacher works alongside Lead Teachers to support daily classroom operations while gaining hands-on experience in a high-quality early childhood setting. This role is ideal for educators who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow professionally.

Key Duties Include:

• Supporting play-based lessons and activities that encourage social, emotional, and early academic development
• Helping maintain a positive classroom atmosphere where children practice kindness, safety, and respect
• Assisting with outdoor and all-weather activities that promote exploration and confidence
• Engaging children in hands-on projects that support physical, cognitive, and emotional growth
• Providing attentive care and additional support to individual children as needed
• Building respectful relationships with families and contributing to developmental goals
• Keeping learning spaces clean, organized, and safe
• Demonstrating patience, teamwork, and effective communication with children and staff

What We're Looking For

• A strong interest in early childhood education and working with preschool-aged children
• A positive, growth-oriented attitude and openness to learning from experienced educators
• Comfort with outdoor play, movement-based learning, and creative messes
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Clear communication skills with both adults and children
• Previous preschool or childcare experience is helpful but not required

Education Requirements

Candidates must have completed or be currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 post-secondary semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, including:

• Child Growth & Development
• Child, Family & Community
• Program & Curriculum
• ECE Elective (Infant/Toddler Development required if working with infants )
