Duties

• Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including shuttle buses, box trucks, flatbeds, and other utility vehicles to transport staff, equipment, and materials.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate tools such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety standards are met and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow designated routes and schedules accurately while maintaining a high level of customer service and communication with team members.
• Assist with warehouse duties such as moving freight, organizing inventory, or supporting heavy equipment operation as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance activities for compliance purposes.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and route adjustments.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles with a strong safety record.
• Knowledge of driving various types of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, tanker trucks, or tractor-trailers.
• Mechanical aptitude for performing basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations such as load & unload procedures, forklift operation, pallet jack handling, and heavy equipment use.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate routes and relay important information clearly.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and handle heavy haul or heavy equipment transportation when required.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate logs and adhering to safety protocols.
