Position Overview

First Step Staffing, the largest non-profit staffing agency in the country, has an immediate opening for a Branch Manager in the Baltimore, MD market. We are looking for a results-driven Branch Manager to ensure sales goals are met and office tasks are completed on time. Branch Managers are also responsible for monitoring sales, creating sales reports, training staff, managing staff, and collecting client feedback. Join us on our successful journey

To succeed as a Branch Manager, you must have strong leadership and excellent organizational skills. A good Branch Manager can multitask and delegate duties to employees where appropriate.

Branch Manager Responsibilities:


• Train employees and evaluate their performances.


• Recruiting and filling open positions for our customers


• Create strategies to ensure that sales targets are met.


• Prepare sales reports.


• Create and maintain relationships with clients.

Essential Duties:

Assist with daily orientations and onboarding.


•Interview, screen, and drug test candidates. Make sound hiring decisions based on attitude, work history, interview attire, and other factors.


•Data entry, including entering applications into our database, scanning/attaching documents, etc.


•Fill daily and short-term projects, temp/perm assignments, and skilled placements by using our internal database and multiple job boards such as Zip Recruiter, Indeed, Craigslist, etc.


•Communicate with employees on an ongoing basis. End assignments, coach employees when needed, and terminate employees when required.


•Responsible for achieving optimal client satisfaction by establishing a good working environment to attain all set objectives.

General Qualifications:

Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.


•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


•Excellent management and leadership skills.


•Excellent time management skills.


•Ability to multitask and complete work while traveling.


•Thorough knowledge of the market and clients.


•Excellent problem-solving skills.


•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


•Create new business partnerships/relationships.


•Ability to strategize and plan. MUST be drawn to the First Step mission to help people with barriers to employment


•A bachelor's degree in business management is preferred but not mandatory; related experience in the field is a plus.
