Dish Machine Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
The Dish Machine Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, and refurbishing various types of ware-washing, dishwashing, and dispensing machines. This includes adhering to updated safety protocols and procedures outlined in the latest Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role also emphasizes maintaining a clean, organized workspace and complying with all ISO, safety, and quality standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Refurbish, diagnose, and repair commercial dish machines.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and document findings in the maintenance log.
- Maintain an organized, compliant workspace, including proper storage of hazardous materials. Assist with general facility maintenance, such as cleaning, organizing, and equipment upkeep.
- Participate in inventory management, including tracking parts usage and ensuring adequate stock levels.

- Provide support for training new team members and for sharing troubleshooting expertise.
- The team lead or manager may assign additional duties and responsibilities as workload dictates.
SKILLS / COMPETENCY
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is preferred.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools.
- Analytical and decision-making skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment failures.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical repair. Preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to work in environments involving chemicals and hazardous materials.
PRE-HIRE TRAINING REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
EMPLOYEE TRAINING REQUIRED
- Comprehensive new hire orientation.
- Hazard Communication and Right-to-Know training.
- Basic and advanced safety training, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and hazardous material handling.
- Updated hazardous spill response training, per SOP revisions.
- CFESA certification is preferred but not required.
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL INTERFACE LEVELS
- Collaborate with internal departments, including management, refurbishment teams, and safety personnel.
SUPERVISES
- No direct supervision responsibilities. May assist in onboarding and training new hires or interns.
