Fire Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm and sprinkler systems across various commercial and industrial sites. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge of various fire suppression systems. The Fire Service Technician will ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to the protection of life and property through expert system servicing.

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, sensors, and associated components.
• Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with codes such as NEC and local regulations.
• Use hand tools, power tools, to modify or upgrade existing fire protection systems.
• Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure proper operation of fire equipment systems.
• Provide field service support by diagnosing issues on-site and implementing effective solutions promptly.
• Assist in sales activities related to fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler solutions by providing technical expertise during client consultations.
• Maintain detailed service records, schematics, and reports for each project or service call.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and company policies.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician in fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems is required. (Certified through State of Ohio)
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical components related to fire protection systems.
• Experience and certified to testing / Inspect of backflow devices is a plus.
• Field service experience working on complex fire protection systems is highly desirable. Pay: $ $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
