Position Summary:
We are representing a well-established real estate development and construction firm in West LA seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, depending on experience level. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain deep exposure to the multifamily construction process, while supporting both field operations and executive leadership.

This role is a hybrid between technical project engineering and administrative support, reporting directly to the company President. It requires strong organizational skills, comfort with construction documentation, and a proactive mindset. Candidates with Procore experience and a background in multifamily construction will be given preference.

This is not a field position; it is primarily based in the office with potential site visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage construction documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
  • Maintain and update Procore for project controls, reporting, and team coordination
  • Support the project team with budget tracking, cost reports, and administrative project documents
  • Act as a liaison between the President and project teams, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Assist with preconstruction planning, procurement tracking, and subcontractor coordination
  • Perform light executive assistant responsibilities such as calendar coordination, task tracking, and internal communication
  • Organize internal reporting systems to maintain up-to-date project progress visibility
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in logs, schedules, and quality control documentation
  • Take initiative to streamline workflows and improve project tracking processes

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of construction experience in a project engineering or coordination role
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with Procore and other construction management tools
  • Previous experience on multifamily, podium, or large-scale renovation projects preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and support senior leadership
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000/year based on experience
  • Full medical benefits package
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • 2 weeks PTO
  • Long-term growth opportunity within a high-touch, entrepreneurial team
  • Los Angeles, California, United States
